I'm going on a more terrifying and madness-inspired quest... I'm going to...

Man that sounded lame. Let me rephrase that... I was thinking of making some runescape machinimas! If you can't tell a machinima from your aunt's world-famous toenail soup (world famous for the amount of people killed from eating it), and a machinima allow me to explain... A machinima is a video filmed off of runescape, generally using runescape characters, all in the name of entertainment.

That's right, I'm getting into showbiz (just try and stop me). And what does that mean for me?

Well it means mastering the following programs:

Camtasia Studio - for filming

Blender - for animating runescape characters

After Effects - for all the 1337 post-processing

In short: A lot of my spare time spent drying my eyeballs out in front of the computer screen. Slaving over a hot keyboard, bringing you the best in runescape videos... Well we'll see how far I get anyway.

Well hello all my good, and funny friends. As you see my last post was about... the 10th of December. Yes a lot has changed since that moment, and I have so much to post on. I will save you all the hassle. I have decided to get back into recording my status on Runescape. So here we go.
Lately one small set back decided to get me into skilling :/

So I went to the pk world and got to the g.e. I decided to buy some lobbies, I withdraw 1.3m because I wasn't bothered withdrawing a little amount. (This was the beginning... I bet you all know what happens next?) I bought the food, deposit my money into the bank, and run out. At this stage I'm like oh okay one fight then I'll go. (your still thinking it) This guy runs up to me and asks, "Want to fight?".
He was 5 levels higher then me so I figured, why not? So I ran out, turned on my prayer and this guy takes a 200 off the first hit. That's when I started getting a bit worried. I healed a few health and didn't notice anything suspicious. (Bear in mind I don't have rune armour on, I'm a hybrid with a rune scimmy) So then the guy attacks a 250, at this point I thought it wise to run.

So I bolted for my life, I started healing but this guy kept attacking 200's. I was thinking What the crap!!!! This guy is the best pvper ever! I kept running, then I died. So I thought just a rune scimmy, ran the the bank, got out my money. Hold on, where's my money? I started freaking out. So I checked out every one of my slots. At this point I freaked out so much and I thought to myself. Maybe I put it in the g.e somehow :/. So I walked there, nope, I had lost it. 1.3m in pk. I was angry at runescape but I knew, what am I so angry about? So from that day on I made the decision to be a skiller. Withing 3 days I'd managed to get 500k. (not bad aye considering I don't play much?)

I found out so much withing a 2 week span and I am now trying to get to level 99 cooking, and firemaking. I'll post up 1 pic to show you the improvement in 2 weeks.

Amazing right? (right now you think I'm crazy) I've probably gained 20 levels in 3 days. Not bad I might say. If you look at my last post you might see the improvement, but for so many months I didn't go on runescape, I thought it was more boring.

What I did today: Got into the 7,000,000 exp catagory.

After so much training, woodcutting, fishing, and many other skills that you and me know, I finally reached 7,000,000.

After that I got 60 fishing, I got bored so I fished.

So there is my fun for today.

Note: It is holidays here, so therefore I can go on runescape now. You WILL see more of me.

What I Did Today: Achieved 75 Woodcutting

What I did today:

After an endless amount of time wasted, cutting willows and yews, I finally got to level 75 woodcutting.

I also went training at spiders. This is what I normally bring on my trip:

Later on today I went training again, got to level 70 attack - one of my goals - and 88 combat! I was expecting for me to still be level 87 but things turned out better. Only 2 levels and I'm 90 combat, which I'm very excited for.

That was all my fun for the day, remember people, do not waste 10k on borrowing a lousy Santa Hat for an hour, it's not worth it.

There was some tough competition this year from the likes of Lionhead Studios and Rockstar North, but, in the end, Jagex was voted as the UK Games Developer of the Year.

Anyway, today I trained at spiders to get some good exp. I got 15k exp today. Not much but a start!

Also the other day I went and did the Halloween event. I thought the prize item and the quest was a big let down. Basically this is how it goes:

Where: South of Falador.
What to do: Talk to Grim Reaper. He will tell you to go get the spider out of his bathtub. So you have to go through a small maze and web 64 items in the house.
How much time: it takes 10-15 minutes to do.
Reward: A spider web cape and Eek! The spider.
Was it fun: Yeah it was ok. I didn't really like it that much.

So there was my fun for the last couple of days.

Anti-'76k'ing trick banned.

As many of you know, since the opening of PvP Worlds, ‘76k’ing has become a very common practice. We’ve never been happy about this as we believe it spoils the game experience for players who want to play on PvP Worlds as intended and exhibit their PvP skills, with high rewards for high risks, rather than it being a safe method for earning large amounts of money. Looking at our forums, it looks like many players feel the same way.
Designing and developing a solution to this issue that worked, but which did not lessen the rewards for legitimate kills, turned out to be rather tricky. We’re hopeful that the solution we’ve come up with will reduce 76King without having too significant an impact on legitimate PKers.
Players who trade kills will find that the drop they receive is lessened in value. Legitimate PKers might find that some of their kills will result in smaller drops (e.g. when getting revenge on someone who has just killed you), but since you’ll still only lose as much Earning Potential as is used for the drop, your average drop will stay the same.

Discussion: Merchanting Clans - Should They Be Banned?

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site as you can see! A while back I was in a merchanting clan, when I noticed that there were people desperately advertising a certain clan chat, as well as the item to buy and at max price. So I joined the clan, and realized that clan chat was disabled for people that weren't friends of the clan chat owner's.

Okay, so I did my research on the item in question, Gold Bars. Interestingly, this is what I found...

The clan was still advertising it in the grand exchange, even though the item was obviously starting to peak. Now this is my guess of what was happening...

The clan leader and his friends invested in gold bars, and now see the price peaking. So they are now going to dump the stock on the rest of the clan, while getting the clan to buy more gold bars. When the people buy more at max price, they end up buying them off the clan leaders. Therefore, the clan chat owner, and friends get lots of money, while everyone else gets the rear end of the deal.

Now, I'm not saying that all merching clans do this, I'm sure there are trustworthy clans out there. It would be impossible to police whether merching clans were scamming their members, unless you make merching clans totally against jagex rules.

So my question is... Should merching clans be against the rules or not?

Selling Noobs

Last night I was bored and I decided to go to the grand exchange when I suddenly had an idea. I looked around, put on a chicken suit and then walked around saying, "Selling Noobs!"

Surprisingly, a lot of people started joining in and saying, "Buying Noobs!" and "Selling Noobs!" soon there was a group of people standing around selling a few low leveled players.

And the funny thing is that people actually believed me and started trading me, one player even reported me for 'slave trading'. I think when it comes to runescape, people take it too seriously. It just reminds me of something...

Yeah, see how silly it is?

Okay this has been a goal of mine for the last year, get to level 80 strength! And now, after alot of work I have gotten to that level. Now I just need to get my attack and defense to level 70, so I can continue in my epic quest to wield a Dharoks Great Axe...

Okay, so me and my friend Cholo King2, where in the pvp worlds, picking off some afkers. Now you'll remember Cholo King2, if you saw my post about losing full rune. He was the guy that killed me and reaped the rewards of his labour (that's right ladies and gentelman, full rune). But it just so happened that ever since that, we've become good friends and have explored a great deal of good hotspots in the pvp world.

So one upon a time, we are wandering around in the pvp world and we spot this guy in full rune and he's just standing there in this mining area south of varrok. So we both run in hoping to kill him, it wasn't a multi combat zone. Unfortunately, he got to the guy first, and it just so happened that the guy was afk at the time (why the heck, in the player vs. player worlds? That's suicide!). So Cholo killed him, and got a full rune set (after killing me for my rune set).

Okay, that was interesting. What was even more interesting is how he had the nerve to ask me to do the 26k trick with him, with FULL RUNE ARMOUR! The 26k trick is where one player goes out with his stuff and the other player kills him, then the killed player kills the other player, this used to automatically created profit. But it doesn't anymore, Jagex fixed it, and there are still scammers out there that will say that the 26k trick still works.

So he got my full rune off me from killing me, then he stole my kill and got full rune, and now he wants full rune off me via the 26k trick (which doesn't work)?

I was like, "NO WAY ON RS!"

So I just went and trained on Moss Giants, in hopes of getting to my goal of wielding a Dharoks Greataxe sooner...

What I Did Today: Lose Full Rune Armour

That's right ladies, and gents; I lost 3 rune scimitars, and full rune armour since yesterday! My bank gold has gone down from 1 mil to 600k over the last 30 hours. I have got to be more careful!

What I Did Today

Today, I was training on Hill Giants in the player versus player worlds when a someone on facebook decided to chat to me, so I switched tab over to facebook, for about 5 seconds to type in a message when, I heard a noise coming out of my speakers... So I opened the rs tab back up only to find these two players fighting with each other in the cave.

No Biggie! I have 1 mil in the bank, anyway!

And then I found out that one of the characters was me, the one with like 2% health left. Yep todays my lucky day! I suddenly found myself in Lumbridge, missing one rune scimitar.

Now that wouldn't be such a big story, if it hadn't have happened another time! Yep I was back at the Hill Giants about 10 minutes later with another rune scimitar, this time I only lasted about half an hour when a stupid mage decided to try out his new fire spell on me... Unfortunately it worked, and I ran away at top speed. But not quick enough, I soon awoke to find myself in the middle of Lumbridge. Minus another rune scimitar!

Okay that's when it starts to get annoying, but does it end there? OH NO! It's only beginning...

Ten minutes later, I'm back, and this time I've come prepared with teleport to varrock runes as well! Yes siree, I've come with the whole kit, lots of lobbies, lots of teles, lots of prayer, and a weapon. This time I'm unstopable! So I go killing Hill Giants again, but this time it's only a matter of minutes before a ranger decides that his Hill Giants are too boring to kill and that I might make a more interesting target. So he aims his bow, and an arrow rushes through the air and strikes me. This wouldn't be such a big deal... I had come prepared so I was totally okay, if it wasn't for the fact that I had forgotten about the fact that I had tele runes! So I ran away at top speed, I started praying for some Protect From Range. I ran through the sewers in an epic race to get away from those darts, those evil arrows! The only things stopping me from logging out!

I reached this gate, and as I clicked to open it, it didn't open. So this time, frantically I clicked it in hopes that it would open up so that I could get through! OH NO NOT MEMBER'S ONLY!!! One more bullet and I'd be dead, I frantically searched for an escape, not left... not right... no... Then I remembered my tele runes just as the last arrow plunged into my body. I gasped as I fell to my knees on the hard gravel inside those Varrock Sewer Caves. The skull above my head seemed to laugh menacingly at my misfortune.

So I lost three rune scimitars today... At least I still have near 1 mil, and I earned like 50k Strength XP today! But hey, when you play runescape you have to look at the silver lining around the cloud.

Discussion: Dual Wielding Option

After losing three scimitars in pvp world, I had to buy two rune scimitars, one for safe. So as I took them out of the grand exchange, from force of habit I clicked both of them to dual wield them both. Then I realized that that would be such a cool feature! To dual wield! So I have devised an idea that Jagex could put in my favorite game!

Okay so this is how it works, most items that you can hold in your hand on runescape (poison daggers, daggers, swords, long swords, maces, battleaxes, scimitars, and crossbows) would be dual wieldable. Now this would be interesting because the player would be able to attack twice as quick (hit with both weapons in one turn), but this could prove unfair. So maybe dual wielding should be available for higher leveled players.

So it takes 20 attack to wield any mithril items, but what would be awesome is if to wield two mithril items it would take 30 attack! Then you could run around with two mithril swords, or one addy one! Same with the rest of the items, it takes more level to dual wield! Also some special attacks would be good, I've always wanted to stab with one sword then stab with the other in a brutal special attack!

It could also be incredibly useful if you want to wield a dragon scimitar and a dragon p++ dagger! This would make an excellent combo, plus you have both of their special attacks! And maybe we could get an extra special attack just for dual wielding!

I suppose we could just use a primary weapon and a and a rune defender.

Well it's an interesting idea, but is it a good one? Should Jagex create dual wielding weapons, or at least add more secondary weapons? Have your say in the comments section of this post!

My First Wilderness Experience

When I joined on runescape, which was a few years ago, rs was much simpler, if you died there was no gravestone to save you, you just kept three of the most valuable items in your inventory. Free trading was allowed, and there was no grand exchange, meaning it was possible to merchant. And last, but definitely not least, there was a feared place that they called, “THE WILDERNESS!!!”

Starting off as a level 3 newbie, I found runescape very fascinating. I had never seen a game with so much open area to explore, the very first thing I did was look for a bank. That unfortunately took me hours because the stupid darn map didn’t link up with the stupid darn radar for somewhere. My sense of direction on the game was pretty much poop.

So one day, this lvl 8 newbie, whose name was “-something-Usernamexx” lead me to the wilderness and warned me, “Radialkong, never go in there, it’s dangerous you will lose all your items and you will get killed.”

Out of bravery, and sheer stupidity I decided that I was strong enough and I would survive (statistics say otherwise)… So with a spring in my step I paraded through the wilderness, as an explorer. I saw a lot in my first wildy experience, it really opened up my eyes to runescape…

For a level three newbie, I wander how I got so far into the wilderness without dying!

So I lasted until the end of the lvl 40 wilderness, near the deadly spider mount. As I walked there, my eye caught a shiny thing on top of the hill… It was a rare gem, I saw it and I just knew I had to get it, so eyeing the spiders I rushed up the hill with top speed, grabbed the gem and bolted back down… Unfortunately, my feet never touched the level ground around the mountain, before the spiders got to me! They all started attacking 3s and 4s until after about two or three hits, they killed me!

I woke up in Lumbridge, without my gem and with a a few private messages from some girl names Username saying, “I told you so…”

That was the first of many fun moments in the wilderness, I wish I could bring back those fun days… Seems like a good dream.
